New Improvements in Existing Combined-Cycles: Exhaust Gases Treatment with Amines and Exhaust Gas Recirculation

چکیده

The combined cycle plants (CCGT) in 2019 are upswing due to definitive closure of conventional coal-fired power plants. increase the price a ton CO2, will close 25 euros 2019, could allow their capacity factor above 50%. Already achieved high flexibility imposed by regulator Spanish network, REE, possible hybridizations both gas turbine (GT) and heat recovery steam generator (HRGS), it is necessary one step ahead directed reduction treatment flow exhaust gases at outlet HRGS boiler during operation. An optimization study based parametric analysis this reduction, with recirculation (EGR) them amines CO2 capture plant (PCC) exit boiler, has been carried out, using real data base, integration within existing CCGT. Results obtained very promising: firstly, use 35% EGR + PCC CCGT efficiency GT26 improve 0.5%. Secondly, total number tons avoid per year would be around 633 kt (using 0.41). Therefore, cost for 21.4 million euros/year. However, say that its current inclusion have negative impact on (close 4 points 21% respectively). All boil down conflict interests between €/MW lost versus €/ton avoided. Clearly now rising CCGT’s decisive future elucidate conflict.

Extending Exhaust Gas Recirculation Limits in Diesel Engines

This paper addresses the application of high exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) for reduced nitrogen oxide emissions from diesel engines. The research objective is to develop fundamental information about the relationship between EGR parameters and diesel combustion instability and particulate formation so that options can be explored for maximizing the practical EGR limit, thereby further reducin...

Location Isolability of Intake and Exhaust Manifold Leaks in a Turbocharged Diesel Engine with Exhaust Gas Recirculation

An investigation into the isolability of the location of intake and exhaust manifold leaks in heavy duty diesel engines is presented. In particular, established fault detection and isolation (FDI) methods are explored to assess their utility in successfully determining the location of a leak within the air path of an engine equipped with exhaust gas recirculation and an asymmetric twin-scroll t...
